Kidmore End Pre-School has been thriving in the village of Kidmore End since 1983. Set in an idyllic village location, our small, friendly pre-school creates a very special environment for children guided by a team of highly qualified, caring staff. Our sessions are held in the Parish Room owned by the Diocese of Oxford. It is a small setting with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Our prime objectives are to provide a smooth transition between the home and school environment, with the social and self-development of the child being paramount. We follow the guidelines as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS 2012), and our latest Ofsted Inspection (May 2017) has given us an Good Rating in all areas.
If you are looking for a pre-school for your child and would like further information or to register for a place, please contact the Registrar Emma Hawker on 0118 9484985 or firstname.lastname@example.org
We provide a safe and stimulating environment for children giving them the chance to join with other children and adults to play, work and learn together.
The Parish Room have their own enclosed garden providing plenty of space for outdoor play, whatever the weather. Children can play in the sand pit, at the water table or try out a variety of outdoor games. Play equipment that the children can use includes a climbing frame, wheeled vehicles including scooters and trikes, see-saws and play houses. The outdoor space has an area where children are encouraged to dig in the dirt, and our raised vegetable beds give the children the chance to involve themselves in gardening projects.
We don't always stay in the Parish Room. If the weather is good, we like to take the chance to take the children out, sometimes just to walk to around the village, visiting the ducks on the duck pond or going to meet a neighbour's chickens or fish. On other occasions we go for walks in the woods or we visit the play area at Butlers Orchard.
We have excellent links with Kidmore End Primary School.
